Registration Policy

 

Participation

No player shall participate in any CBCMHA activities unless he/she is registered as a member in good standing. Outstanding fees at the “end of the season” will place the “member and family” “not in good standing” and no registration will be accepted for any member of the family until fees are paid in full. Members in good standing have paid all their dues and fees to the Association and have not had their membership suspended or revoked.

Fees include:

  • Registration Fees from previous season must be paid in full prior to registration for upcoming season

  • Jersey Fees will be charged to players who have either not returned jerseys or returned jerseys that have been deemed to be in unsatisfactory condition (as per jersey policy) Jersey replacement fees are $50.00 per jersey and must be paid in full prior to registration

  • Fund raising Fees (Car Tickets) not returned for ticket draw (February 2020) will be charged to registration fees for upcoming season. Families were required to sell $150.00 ( 30 tickets) for the associations mandatory fund raising event

 

Credits

Player credits will be applied to players accounts who are considered “members in good standing” - any player who has outstanding fees must have fees paid in full before credits are to be applied

 

Registered Player

A player is considered registered when a completed registration form has been filed with the Minor Hockey Office/Registrar and registration fees have been paid, or arrangements made for payment in accordance with CBCMHA policy. Registration forms are accepted by email/fax or can be completed in person at minor hockey office during registration hours

 

Registration Fees

Each year prior to the registration process, the Executive will review the current registration fees and determine if the current fees are appropriate for the next season. The Executive may lower, raise or keep the fees the same for the upcoming season.

 

Payments

Payments can be made made by credit card, cash, cheque or e-transfer. Visa, Mastercard and Amex are accepted forms of credit card payments. Members can contact the Minor Hockey Office to make arrangements for payments. A payment plan is available with fees being paid in 4 installments – at time of registration, September 30th, October 31st and no later than November 30th. Please refer to the registration tab on the website for more information. If fees are not paid in full by November 30th a $50.00 fee will be applied to the member's account. Any NSF Cheques will be charged $50.00 and no future cheques will be accepted as payment

 

Financial Assistance Programs

Several programs are available for families who may require Financial Assistance. These programs are listed on the website – under the “Financial Assistance Programs” tab . Any member receiving assistance from Kidsport or Jump Start must submit documentation confirming the funding, to the minor hockey office

 

Late Fees

Any player registering after the registration deadline will be charged a $50.00 late fee.

 

 

Player Suspension

Any player who has outstanding fees as of December 15th, will be suspended from play until fees are paid in full – this includes all practice and game times

 

Refund Policy

 

Regular Season Registration Fees

Regular Season Registration Fees

?Approved refunds for members withdrawing before the commencement of the season (October 1st for Rep League) and October 15th for House/C League) will be subject to a $50 admin fee being deducted from the registration refund.

?Approved refunds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before the October 31st of the hockey year will be subject to a 25% reduction in their registration refund.

?Approved ref unds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before November 30th of the hockey year will be subject to a 50% reduction in their registration refund.

?Approved refunds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before December 31st of the hockey year will be subject to a 75% reduction in their registration refund.

?There will be no refund of the Association fees to any member who participates in the program after December 31st of that hockey year, the only exception being for verified medical reason which will be handled on a case by case basis

 

 

Refund due to Injury or Serious Illness (After October 1st/15th)

? Refunds will be provided upon receipt of a letter from a physician

? Refunds will be prorated based on date of injury

? Hockey Nova Scotia player insurance fee will be deducted from refund

? Player “return to play” is considered the date that a player returns to the ice (game or practice)
