President's Message

Hello  Welcome to 2021/2022 Hockey season  I would just like to say welcome back to a new season of hockey at Cape Breton County Minor Hockey Association. We have had our challenges with Covid 19 protocol and will continue to meet these challenges until the pandemic is over and manageable.  As you may be aware County Arena did have a recent exposure. Our Safety Coordinator, Natalia Gallant worked closely with Public Health and Hockey Nova Scotia in communicating with our membership in a timely and professional manner .  I understand that it is difficult and concerning following Covid guidelines but with the recent exposure we all need to ensure we follow these guidelines. We have to make sure that all our members are kept safe and able to have a great hockey season.   The screening process is in place for the safety of our membership and our volunteers are required to screen as per Public Health guidelines.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. As you are aware, the guidelines will be changing Monday October 4th.  Spectators are required to show Proof of Vaccination before being permitted in any Arena.  Again, the Safety Reps are required to gather this info as per Public Health guidelines.   Please be respectful. A Vaccine record can be obtained by going to the following link: https://novascotia.flow.canimmunize.ca/en/portal   or by phoning 1.833.797.7772 I know as CBCMHA members we will all do what we have to do to make this a great season for all County Members ( players / Coach’s Staff / Parents / Exec ).  A big thank you to all the Team Safety Reps. As always, the Executive for CBCMHA does an exceptional job. Many thanks to all for their dedication to making CBCMHA the best in Nova Scotia !!.   Stay Safe and Keep your Stick on the Ice Have a Great Season! Blair George - President, CBCMHA

Cape Breton County Minor Hockey Association Launches New Website Powered by GrayJay!

We are thrilled to launch our new and improved website, powered by the GrayJay Leagues platform from grayjaysolutions.com! Our new website brings a contemporary new look to our online presence, as well as new functionality, such as real-time scoring, electronic gamesheets, roster management, schedule management with conflict alerts, and much more! The real-time scoring feature allows officials to easily update games as they happen, including goals, penalties, etc. on a mobile phone, tablet, or PC. This information is immediately available on the website for people to follow the game in the stands or at home. Game data is automatically added to the team and player statistics on the website, and historical data has been imported to provide the user with a complete set of data in one convenient location. Electronic gamesheets are auto-generated for easy and improved record keeping. Team and game rosters can be managed from any location with an internet connection to allow us to keep you up-to-date with the most current roster information. We are excited for the possibilities of our new website and hope you will love it as much as we do!
