HOUSE RULES OF PLAY Cape Breton Minor Hockey Partners 50/50 Draw 2026-2027 Hockey Season Draw Frequency: Weekly, Friday at 9:00 p.m. First Draw: November 6, 2026 Final Draw: April 23, 2027 Draw Location: Membertou Sport & Wellness Centre 1. Lottery Administration and Draw Process The lottery is licensed to Sydney Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) and is administered on behalf of Cape Breton Minor Hockey Partners (CBMHP). Draws will be held weekly throughout the hockey season, every Friday at 9:00 p.m., beginning November 6, 2026, with the final draw on April 23, 2027, except where otherwise noted in the draw schedule. Each draw will be conducted using the approved and certified Rafflify Random Number Generator (RNG). Only one winning ticket number will be produced for each draw. There is no minimum number of tickets that must be sold for a draw to proceed. If a draw must be postponed because of inclement weather or circumstances beyond the organizers’ control, the public will be notified of the alternate draw date. 2. Eligibility and Ticket Purchase Purchasers must be individuals and must be at least 19 years of age. Only one name may be entered on a lottery ticket, and only one individual may win the prize. There are no restrictions on ticket purchases by members of a sponsoring organization or their families. Purchasers may select the participating team they wish to support at the time of ticket purchase. Cash ticket sales may be completed through participating Grayjay app users associated with participating teams. Online payment is encouraged. Cash drop-offs will also be available on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Exceptions to the regular collection schedule will be communicated in advance. All tickets must be paid in full to be eligible for a draw. There are no refunds on ticket purchases. 3. Prize There is one 50/50 prize for each weekly draw. The winning ticket owner will receive fifty percent (50%) of that week's total ticket sales. The winner does not have to be present at the time of the draw. 4. Winner Notification and Prize Claim The winner will be contacted by telephone and provided with instructions on how to claim the prize. The winner must be at least 19 years of age and must provide valid proof of age and identity to claim the prize. The winning name and ticket number will be posted on the CBMHP Facebook page and participating association websites. If the winner cannot be located after 90 days and all reasonable attempts to locate the winner have failed, a second draw will be conducted from the original draw entries to select another winner. 5.
